Lujos De La Vida is a proud Latina/ Filipina owned boutique. I know what it's like to grow up in poverty. There were many moments in my life, when we didn't have enough money for food, clothes, or a home. I grew up having to worry about money and learning the value of it at a very young age, which im very grateful for, because of it i'm great at saving but one con is that I don't allow myself to enjoy it because i'm always worrying about "what if I need money for an emergency one day?" and one day my grandma sat me down and said "One day we are going to leave this world and we are not going to take anything with us. Your money is just going to sit there with no purpose when you could have enjoyed it and made many memories with it, so start rewarding yourself with your hard earned money, you deserve it." After that talk I never seen money the same way again. Do I still save a little bit of emergency money on the side? Yes of course! but I also learned slowly that its okay to spend it on myself and especially my loved ones because I want to remember happy memories instead of sad ones only. So i'm here to tell you the same thing my Mami told me enjoy it, splurge on yourself, money always comes back around and were only on this earth for a little bit don't restrict yourself if you see a cute top and know you can afford it buy it dont be coda you will make your money back mija. So you see? to me buying clothes or anything in general is a luxury that I didn't have before but now im making my own money and don't have to feel bad for wanting things. To those of you who can relate take my Mami's advice and reward yourself even if its not with us at my boutique just remember those words and I promise you that you'll feel just the tiniest bit better when making a purchase anywhere. I won't tell you that you'll stop worrying completely but it'll relax you a bit more when buying yourself things <3
